Internal Quality Assurance Level 4

Description

This course is for qualified and experienced assessors looking to take the next step in their careers by becoming a qualified Internal Quality Assurer.

There are two pathways for this course:

Pathway 1 - for those who do not have access to assessors, haven't started the role of an IQA or the Awarding Organisation doesn't require the practical unit

Pathway 2 - for those who are able to work with 2 assessors in the workplace

Regardless of which pathway you choose, you will attend 4 workshops (delivered via Zoom) and will submit 3 assignments.

This course will enable you know:

If you are completing Pathway 2, you will be assigned a Learning Advisor who can support you to gather evidence of planning and carrying out IQA with 2 assessors, each with 2 learners.

This includes:

• Planning and carrying out IQA using a range of techniques,

• Providing feedback to assessors

• Holding a standardisation meeting

• Reflections of professional practice and improving own learning

• An observation of you providing feedback to an assessor after IQA activity has taken place

Pathway 1 - Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of IQA of Assessment Level 4 (TAQA Level 4) - £450+VAT

Pathway 2 - Award in IQA of Assessment Level 4 - £650+VAT

Once you are fully qualified, you can the progress to the Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.

This requires you to have responsibility for a team of assessors / IQAs.
